Editorial Standards

Editorial Policy

Our guides and articles are meant to be genuinely useful and accurate. This page explains who writes them, how we check our facts, and the standards we hold ourselves to.

How Our Content Is Created

Articles are researched and written by the VidScio editorial team — the developers and movie lovers who build the platform. We use AI tools to help draft and structure some content, but every article is reviewed and edited by a human before it is published. We publish under a team byline rather than inventing individual author personas.

Accuracy & Fact-Checking

Film facts such as titles, release years, directors, and cast are checked against reputable references before publishing. Where an article makes a historical or statistical claim, we aim to attribute it to a credible source rather than state it as unsupported fact.

Opinion, analysis, and any discussion of unreleased or upcoming films are clearly framed as such — we do not present speculation as confirmed fact.

Editorial Independence

Our recommendations reflect genuine editorial judgment, not paid placement. Some outbound streaming links contain affiliate parameters that help keep VidScio free, but which films or tools we recommend is never determined by those relationships. Full details are in our Disclaimer & Disclosures.

Corrections & Updates

We revisit articles over time to keep them accurate, especially where they mention streaming prices, catalog availability, or third-party tools that change frequently. If we get something wrong, we correct it.

Spotted an error? Please tell us — we take accuracy seriously and will review and fix confirmed mistakes.
